No other hand perplexes the blackjack player as much as the dreaded 16, which is why it is known as the Worst hand at the Blackjack<\/a><\/strong> applies. The best way to play for a hard 16, according to the Blackjack strategy<\/a> Table<\/a> simply stand still if the dealer shows a low card (2 to 6). However, if the dealer has a high card (7, 8, 9, 10 or Ace), you should draw another card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following this game strategy does not guarantee that you will every time win<\/a>but that you will lose less in the long run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chances of winning and risk of losing with a 16<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Suppose you get a 10-6 and the dealer shows a 7 as a visible up card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In reality, however, it does make a difference! That's why you should stand with a 16 of three or more cards when the dealer has a 10. The reason is that you have used up some of the small cards you need to draw. This speaks in favour of standing. The more Packs of cards<\/a> are used, the less important this special rule is, however.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surrender with 16 against 10<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Some casinos allow Surrender<\/a><\/strong>. This allows players to surrender without a fight. This means that you give up the opportunity to play out your hand and automatically lose half of your Use<\/a> lose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, if you get a soft-16 (like ace & 5), you should never give up. The first option is to double<\/a>if the dealer shows a weak upcard like 4, 5 or 6. If the dealer's card is a 2,3 or 7 - Ace, then you draw another card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What to do with a pair of 8s?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The correct way to play blackjack strategy is to always split a pair of 8s, no matter what the dealer shows. Even if you are dealt a Split<\/a> lose money on both 8s, the combined Loss<\/a> in the long run is less than the amount you will lose if you play a single hand as 16. Splitting a pair of 8s against a dealer's 10 is also a slightly better play than surrendering with surrender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
